Broker selector

Answer four quick questions about what you want to trade, whether you want to own it, how you will fund your account and whether you need an Islamic account. We'll show you the brokers that match.

It matches you based on regulation, what you want to trade and how you plan to fund your account. Below, you can browse every broker we cover.

The four-question shortcut needs JavaScript. Everything it would tell you is in the table below, and these are the filtered views it routes to most often:

How to read this table

  • UAE entity. The company that opens your account, which is often not the brand on the app. Check it on the regulator's public register.
  • What the licence allows. Arranging or promoting is not the same as dealing or holding your money.
  • Real ownership. Yes means you own the asset. No means CFDs: price exposure only, no dividends or votes.
  • No compensation scheme. No UAE scheme covers any broker in this table.

How the selector decides

  • Your priorities come first. What you want to trade and whether you want to own it narrow the list. Islamic accounts and AED funding then help order the matches.
  • We check who actually holds your account. A broker that can hold client assets ranks above one that can only deal, arrange or introduce.
  • Partners do not get preferential rankings. A partner only appears above another broker if it is a better match for your answers.
  • Review scores are not used. The tool does not use our ratings to decide which broker to show.
  • Excluded brokers are still explained. If a broker cannot meet your requirements, we tell you why.
  • We do not force a match. If no broker meets every requirement, we show the closest options and explain the difference.

Frequently asked questions

Does this tool rank brokers by score?
No, and not because we have no scores. Every published review carries one, derived from its ten category scores, and it sits there beside those categories. This tool ranks instead on what a single number cannot express: which UAE entity onboards you, what its licence permits, whether you own the asset, whether swap-free is offered, and how dirham funding works, each checkable on a public register or in a client agreement. One limit applies to every review here: each rests on a single round trip rather than a sample of trades, so nothing describes slippage or requote behaviour.
Why does it ask whether I want to own the asset?
Because it is the most consequential thing a UAE resident can misunderstand, and almost no comparison site asks. Buying a share means the share is yours: dividends, a vote, and it survives the broker. A contract for difference is a leveraged agreement about that share's price, held with the broker, paying no dividend, conferring no ownership, and able to lose more than you deposited. The two are marketed through near-identical apps.
Is a swap-free account the same as a Sharia-endorsed one?
No, and the tool will not treat them as the same. Swap-free removes the overnight interest charge on a leveraged position: one fee. Sharia endorsement means an independent board has ruled on the product and supervises the firm against that ruling. No platform in our reviewed set holds one, and what replaces the swap is different on each. On the terms we captured, Pepperstone charges USD 100 per standard lot on FX and precious metals once a position has been held five consecutive days, recurring every five days after that, and we have not opened one. eToro applies a fixed administration fee after a seven-day grace period, on an account you request after opening a standard one and funding it with at least $1,000. AvaTrade's swap-free runs up to five days, after which trades are charged swaps anyway. Capital.com replaces the swap with a flat daily fee or a wider spread, and does not publish which instruments carry which. XM can refuse or revoke the status, converts your other real accounts when you request it, and charges a daily admin fee on overnight energies and metals. Get the terms in writing before funding.
Do any of these brokers hold my money inside the UAE?
That depends on the entity, and it is the first thing to check rather than assume. A UAE licence is a list of named permissions: dealing, arranging, introducing, advising, managing assets, providing custody. Holding client assets is its own permission, so the brand on the app does not settle it. Several of the entities here hold licences that are limited in scope, and some firms hold more than one UAE licence. The licence column gives the entity and its permissions as our record has them. Read those against the regulator's public register, then check which companies your own client agreement names, because that agreement is what binds you.
Am I protected if the broker fails?
There is no UAE investor compensation scheme behind any platform in this directory, whether it is licensed by the DFSA, the FSRA or the CMA. UK and EU schemes cover the clients of those UK and EU entities, not UAE clients of a different entity in the same group. Segregated client money is a separate and weaker protection: it is held apart from the firm's own and should be returned if the firm is solvent.
Do you earn a commission if I open an account?
On some brokers, yes, and it makes no difference to the order results appear in: where a partner and a non-partner match your answers equally well, the non-partner is shown first. Our full commercial arrangements are on the how we make money page.
Are my answers saved?
No. They live in the page and in the address bar so you can share a result by copying the link. Nothing reaches your browser's local or session storage, or us.
